The Golden Globes are back for the 82nd time with a new host and slate of nominees. We've put together everything you need to know about where to watch the Golden Globes, including what time the ceremony starts and how to tune into early red carpet coverage.
The Golden Globes kick off the 2025 awards scene, giving a potential sneak peek at how the Oscars might shake out in March. The ceremony — a slightly lower stakes, food and booze-filled counterpart to the Oscars — awards both film and television performances and productions and notably makes a distinction between drama and musical/comedy films. This year's top nominees include Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist, and Conclave on the film front, and The Bear, Shõgun, and Only Murders in the Building on the TV end.
This year's ceremony, which will be held in its typical sit-down dinner format, will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. Presenters include Andrew Garfield, Catherine O'Hara, Jeff Goldblum, Ke Huy Quan, Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, and Viola Davis, among others.

What channel are the Golden Globes on?
The Golden Globes air on CBS in the US. The official ceremony will start on January 5 at 8 p.m. ET, but early red carpet coverage will be available on E! starting at 6 p.m.
Where to watch the Golden Globes in the US
If you don't have access to CBS through cable or antenna, cord-cutters can live stream the Golden Globes through Paramount Plus, Fubo, or DirecTV Stream.
Paramount Plus is the cheapest way to watch the ceremony. You'll need to subscribe to the Paramount Plus with Showtime tier for $13/month to access CBS live streaming. Fubo and DirecTV Stream will also enable you to live stream CBS. These are more expensive options than Paramount Plus, but they serve as cable alternatives with anywhere from 90 to 200+ live channels in their lineups. Fubo plans start at $80/month and DirecTV Stream subscriptions start at $87/month. Fubo usually offers a seven-day free trial, while DirecTV Stream typically has a five-day free trial going. Both streaming services carry E! in their lineups, so this will also be the best bet if you want to catch red carpet coverage ahead of the ceremony.
Previously known as AT&T TV, DirecTV Stream offers streaming access to a large selection of live channels, including most key networks typically found in traditional cable packages.
Fubo's most essential tier features most of the same offerings as its Pro plan (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, ESPN, etc.), but it lacks regional sports networks that show NBA, NHL, and MLB games. This will remove any applicable extra RSN fees from your monthly bill.
How to watch the Golden Globes from anywhere
